Samuel Pickerill focuses on environmental regulatory, compliance, litigation, and legislative matters. He frequently represents clients in energy transition industries, including carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS), conventional and advanced biofuels, sustainable aviation fuel, and clean hydrogen. Samuel's experience spans the Clean Air Act (CAA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and various other federal and state environmental statutes. He also advises clients on permitting, federal funding applications, and clean energy tax credits including under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). In addition, Samuel maintains an active pro-bono practice, representing Afghan and Ukrainian refugees seeking humanitarian parole and temporary protected status.

Samuel graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he received a Certificate in International Trade Law for his clinic-based work on border carbon adjustments with the Harrison Institute.
