Katie Brown is a skilled government relations professional who has led strategic advocacy efforts both on and off Capitol Hill across several policy issues, including healthcare, federal funding, regulation, education, and economic development. She leverages consensus-building, strategic relationship management and bipartisanship to help clients reach their legislative, advocacy, and funding goals.

During her tenure on Capitol Hill, Katie served as a senior policy staffer to Congressman Glenn 'GT' Thompson (R-PA), current Chair of the House Agriculture Committee and former recreational therapist and nursing home administrator. She also served as Health Policy Advisor to former Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA), helping to lead his work on cancer and rare disease treatment and research among other issues. Prior to stepping into policy-focused positions on Capitol Hill, Katie worked in a constituent services role acting as a liaison between constituents and federal agencies like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Immediately prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Katie worked as a Government Affairs Director within the Health Care & Life Sciences segment of FTI Consulting, a global consulting firm. In this role, Katie worked exclusively with health care clients, advising and supporting them through direct advocacy, policy research, and political intelligence gathering. Katie's off-hill experience also includes serving as Director of Government Affairs for the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), a role in which she helped community college leaders access and leverage federal COVID-19 relief funding while effectively advocating for their ongoing federal policy priorities. Additionally, she spent time working for the National Skills Coalition as a Senior Federal Policy Analyst, providing technical assistance to federal policymakers and administrators as they worked to grow local economies through targeted legislation.
