Summer Associates

The Summer Associate Program at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer is our single most important source of associate hiring.

We hire summer associates with the expectation that they will be invited to join us as associates after law school. Summer associates at the firm experience first-hand the firm's strong commitment to excellence, diversity, pro bono work, and professional development. 

Our summer associates typically spend at least the first eight weeks of the summer with us. The Summer Associate Committee, comprised of partners and associates, oversees the work of our summer associates, as well as their integration into the firm. Summer associates work side-by-side with our attorneys on actual cases, and the contributions of our summer associates are respected and valued. We also have a variety of events throughout the summer that allow our summer associates to get to know our attorneys on a more informal basis.
