Kalisch Discusses Law Firm Innovation at UBS Event

Frankfurt-based Finance partner Ingrid Kalisch participated in “Mastering the Challenges—Innovation in Law Firms and Legal Departments (“Die Herausforderungen meistern—Innovation in Sozietäten und Rechtsabteilungen”), a UBS-hosted discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Thomas Wegerich. Topics included the role of IT in law and the road ahead, the role of alternate providers, value added R&D, and what the current and expected changes mean for the legal profession and law firms in particular.

Approximately  70 participants from legal and compliance departments in the industry, as well as law firms attended the event. The other panelists were Dr. Michael Fischer, General Counsel UBS Deutschland; Markus Hauptmann, Managing Partner Germany, White & Case; Dr. Rainer Loges, Managing Partner Gleiss Lutz, Carsten Lüers, Managing Counsel EMEA Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Board Member & Country Representative ACC Europe; and Behnam Sadough, Director of Strategy, Epiq Systems. Dr. Bruno Mascello of the University St. Gallen gave the keynote speech.
