Frankfurt-based Litigation partner Hans-Joachim Fritz, Tax/Private Clients associate Sabrina Siemko and of counsel Heinz-Bodo Fuhr will host “Economization: An Ongoing Corporate Issue?” on March 10, 2016 at the firm’s Frankfurt office. The breakfast seminar will focus on issues related to staff reductions and co-determination processes.

Employers have many opportunities to reduce costs and restructure their company with respect to human resources. From employing more technological to outright reducing staff, employers are often subject to co-determination rights of the works council. These co-determination processes have to be prepared thoroughly by HR and management to realize a scheduled restructuring smoothly and effectively.

This seminar will go over selected issues and examples, explain the process and typical obstacles which may be faced during negotiations on reconcilement of interests and social compensation plans. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
