Arnold & Porter Represents Underwriters in Ukraine's $1 Billion US-Guaranteed Financing

NEW YORK, May 19, 2014 -- Arnold & Porter LLP represented the underwriters, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley, in the Ukraine's closing today on a closely-watched $1 billion US-guaranteed financing. The guarantees were authorized by Congress and issued by USAID, as part of the US government's economic and political support for Ukraine. In the transaction, Ukraine issued $1 billion of five-year notes, fully guaranteed by the United States, at an interest rate of 1.844%.
